One Hundred and One Mysterious Incidents
One Hundred and One Mysterious Incidents is the result of many months of hard work and – as the title would suggest – the creation of over a hundred short stories.
Contained within is the full collection of all those short stories and a representation of all those months of hard work. The stories are arbitrarily arranged in the order in which I published them, but there remains to be no specific order in which to read them. It is also worth noting that – unsurprisingly – the quality of the stories generally increases the further into the book one goes. This means stories in the later volumes have generally higher quality than those of the early volumes. In particular, volumes 1 and 2 were written before I had decided for certain that this series would strictly be horror, and as such weird stories, like The Mysterious Incidents of The Blue Wall arise, which are not horror as such, but merely weird fiction.
From about volume 3 onwards, I had a better grasp on what exactly this series would be. Nonetheless, I would not say any one of these stories is bad, but they are all different. No two stories here are the same.
So, if you like ghosts or ghouls, monsters or spirits, demons or vampires, werewolves or zombies… this book might just have something for you. Because contained within these pages are stories from long ago, and monsters that live under your bed. These are the stories about the spirits that infest your holidays and haunt your homes. This is one hundred and one tales about the dark, about what goes bump in the night, about the happenings that cannot be rationally explained. One hundred and one mysterious incidents.
